It's pretty easy, It doesn't give an instantaneous read, only what you are averaging. It will show either litres per 100km or Km per litre.

It resets when you reset the trip meters.
You have 2x trip meters. So you can monitor 2x different lots of economy. Ie reset one for a tank refill, and reset the other when out for a fang. Or don't reset one at all so you get an average over the life of the bike.

I haven't used it in a while so this is bad memory guess work.
just push the little button and it toggles from , Trip 1 L/100km, Trip 1 km/litre, Trip 2 L/100km, Trip 2 km/litre.

Like I said, haven't done it in like 5 years, so I may be off a little, but that should get you on the right track.

Haven't we got it on the gen2? .. I wouldn't have a clue what gizmos the gen2 has. Must read that manual someday Read
I haven't touched the trip meter(s) since I bought it, nor have I touched anything else (haven't even set the clock, its still in Japan time). I DID use the horn the other day .. Pi_thumbsup

Pretty sure the feature is not there on the gen 2. I just had to look up how to do the clock time for daylight saving. U hold down the two buttons for a few secs and then the clock will start flashing. Click the left button to adjust and the right to save again.

Bear, if you hold the button in for a few seconds, it'll switch from litres/100km to km/litre

Is that hold the button for a few seconds once on the fuel consumption screen Pan?
Have previously toggled though the settings but didn't realise km/litre was an option.
I must pay better attention.Embarassed

Have found that if you keep to 90-100 with no hard acceleration or braking you can get the consumption down to low 5's. Best I have gotten is 5.1/100 BUT it is a goddam BORING ride on a bike that just screams FAAAAAAAAAST!!!! and thats even for a slow ass like me LOL

Hi

Mounted with my bags I'm at 6.8 l / 100km.
Otherwise I sit around a 5.8 l 6.2l / 100km.

I drive it very sporty as I can.
