Over here on the Northern Beaches, most good properties sell for 1mill or slightly under. Remainder wouldn't leave you enough to retire on. Wonder what it would be like in 10 years time when they say property roughly doubles every ten years, million bucks might even be the down deposit. Scary.

im happy with our little 3 beddy which is 13 squares ,take 15 minutes to clean,800 metres of land in the back yard,30 minutes on the ride on mower,plus when i get past 60 ,be f****d if im climbing stairs or paying someone else to clean my house.why get a 1 million dollar mortgage,and be stuck were you are for life ,country areas is were its at ,no traffic,except hols when big city wankers flood our roads on there annual migration to qld ,plenty of open country twisty roads ,no police on these roads bc there to bz booking the big city people on the highways,lol.

Then you have the Asian folk all cashed up buying properties over the Northern Beaches pushing up the prices. Originally looked to buy up the coast, however the travel to work in Sydney plus the other drivers rushing to work with 3 highway cars sitting off the Entrance turned me off living there. Happy days in the year of 2013, population and inflation, wonder what the 6 million dollar man would be worth these days.
