hmm.. I dont post here often.. but a few of you know me...

I started riding at 18 in 1981
A GSX250 was the first bike.. took me 18months to destroy in an ever worsening series of accidents (I was getting better at stacking as time went on)
After the arm had healed I bought an RD400F with 250 stickers.. thats still in the shed in pieces..
Then it was a GSX1000SD Katana
And I had a RZ250 for racing on (unsucessfully)
In 85 I went to a GSXR750G
In 88 I had a GSXR1100J that I had for six weeks before it was destroyed..
So while recuperating from 2broken arms, 5 broken fingers and a broken leg (in a few places) I rode the RZ250 on a bike tour of Tasmania.. slowly I admit.
Then I got a GPZ900R...
a year later (1990) I bought another GSXR1110J which I still have.
in 1994 (?) I got an RF900.. great bike and very undervalued.
75000km later I sold it for a
1999 Hayabusa Red and Black
50000km later in 2001 I swopped it for a 2001 Hayabusa (Black Grey)
which brings me up to date..

Hey Skuzzbutt.

I went from a ST2 to the 'busa as well. I fell outta love with it cos Ducatis are shit in the UK weather. The ST4s would be nice if I wasn't put off Dukes now.

started with the mini bike craze in the late 60"S lucky to have survived , made my first bike 69 using a lawnmower motor and direct drive as I could not afford a new one or for that matter a 2nd hand one lots of crashes and lots of fun followed by a bezza bantam , then a basket case arial red hunter which I rebuilt obtained my liscense 72 , then 2 xCB 350/4"s since then I,ve owned just about every marque of bike all the 4 jappers , many types and capacities the last 2 being super blackbird and the latest a busa , HD during my 1% years triumph, BSA, Norton , ducati , moto guzzi then bmw's , I have riden and owned a bike or bikes constantly since I have had my liscence ,well over 1 million klm's have rallied , raced D & C grades NSW road racing club , started 2 bike clubs member of Mcmod really enjoy designing and building bikes , have done many and just love going FAST my latest projects are land speed racing bikes of which the busa is one and is now undergoing radical surgery as well as a kawa engined one off hand made special and a streamliner , many years ago when I was a wipper snapper I worked with a bloke who had just purchased a new superbike of the time CBX1000 and I was very impressed he was 65yo and that bike was his retirement gift to himself , I made a promise to myself then that I would be riding the meanest mother of a bike when I retire and hopefully I will

1999 to now - 1999 Honda VTR 1000 (the second love of my life - after the wife and kids of course )

Sorry guys, no busas. I have ridden them but I'm entrenched in the V-Twin thing at the moment.

Have also enjoyed most other Kawasakis and ridden just about every other make of bike including Yamahas, Suzukis, Moto Guzzis, Triumphs, Aprilias, Harleys and Ducatis.

I have anjoyed bike rallies for many years and still attend a couple a year. The next one being Radiata Rally on July 18th in S.A. Any takers....?

What I like most are bikes with character and FAST ride days/day rides. (or even slow ones, I don't care!!) , hence why I like to ride with all you fast busa owners.

RIDE SAFE ALL

Have you ran the VTR in yet Mark???
Word of warning to Busa riders. Watch this particular VTR in the corners, especially the arse end as it dissapears? WTF!
Cheers, Phil. Riding not talking.

I am old, I ride slow but I like fast bikes. My 02 busa is not fast enough not that I actually ride fast. I would like to put a super charger on it just to impress my friends when I find some.

I like to tease my friends when we are riding together by letting them think their bike is fast enough to keep up with me - then I smokem.

This would be even more fun with a super charger.

Am I guessing correctly that you are also from Brisbane. I too bought my a blue black 02 busa about 12 months ago. Have only done about 4000kms as I only go out on sunny Sundays. Should get together for a suzi ride as I have a couple of friends with suzis or can tag along at the next Honda Club ride.

Important Question for Shorty57 (I know its not the correct forum).

Are you a Tenacious D Fan? www.tenaciosd.com

I found the gif you use a little familiar! Those buggers should pay you royalties anyway!

Just hover your mouse over D intros...

Bought a 'busa in June this year and since then I have no recollection of any riding prior to that date. (no expression, brain has no time to manipulate facial muscle, too busy recording data coming at it at 300+ kph)

well since I had my second mess up with a bike I thought I should post here my rider history as well.

First bike was a GPX 250, loved that bike

Second I jumped on a RGV-SP 250. Racing gear box and took it to the Island once as well. I still remember hitting 240km on that thing
However up on Mt Dandy in Vic with a mate I made a bad move and was tank slapped @ 110km.
costed me more then the bike that did !! I rebuilt the bike as it was trashed !!! However about 6 months after a piston went while riding out east agian on a HWY. Sold it after that and went O/S !!

After that I came back to Aus and started riding again, got myself a RD 250 Man I wish I still had that. was a great little bike, not as crazy as everyone thought and it looked ok all clean and shiny.
About 6 months later I found a FZ750 Yam, it was sitting @ a car dealers and had a price tag of 3k. I looked it over, went off did some reading, came back to the guy and asked if I could start it...... it didn't start at all. In the end I got it for about 1k !! Fuel pump was gone and same with the ing box. But it only costed me another 1500 to get it up and running !!
Another great bike, shaked a little but was fine, I rode that thing to Melbourne and back as well. Was going to mod it and get a better front end... till some prick stole it !!!

Of course after that came my Busa. I still gots something to do to it and I of course I need to discover the roads here in NSW, but I would't give it up for anything, of course now I have all the damn locks you can think of for a bike as well !!
