Glen you can get back into SB, you can still fit your new cams & head job I think, brakes they won't pick up,
But the swingarm & brick would have to go..

I spoke to the andra tech official and with the swingarm and brick(i assume) it stays in A/MB which is what it currently is in.LIke simmo said stock swingarm for streetbike which apparently has a lower index anyway. So until it becomes a problem i,m staying put and trying to go fast.AA/MB was a written error by the tech inpector not andra.Icon_rolleyesNow why do i get the feeling i,m gonna need some more horsepower?Confused

Only playin' with ya Glenn, Mod bike all run together but because its DYO if your faster than the other guy he gets a head start but if your slower you get a head start.
Against Quicksliver you'd get 1.9sec head start, just watch out for the jet wash as it goes past at almost 200mph! Coolsmiley

Whats all this brick crap anyway?, you running 1.4 60' yet? if not, your bricks faulty! did you get it off ebay?

no e-bay parts on my bike.the brick has helped already,i,ve only used it for one night so far and i did a pb.Its a bit of a cheat really as it gives an average rider better 60ft,s sooner than talent allows. Its getting there though as the half track mph shows.I wouldn,t have thought there was 5 tenths left in first gear from stock height to lowered. My overall bike weight is the same, just less fuel in the tank.

Maybe i can just tow pans bike.Hes got enough red lights on that.Lol3So chris did you get any comparable data of with an without the intake cam on the exhaust off your veypor?Or did stock height cloud the results?Would have been good data.So whats the new t shirts now?No bar, No brick?Lol3What about no licence, no run?

Confused Okay, I try to mostly follow what you type Glenn, but you've lost me again (except the bit about all the red stuff on my bike Egyptian)

What exactly does "overall bike weight" mean? Same as what?

pan, i normally run with a full tank. When i fitted the brick i run half tank of fuel. The brick weighs approx 7-8kg so the bike weighs the same in this spec but the weight of the bike is much lower and further forward, which helps minimise wheelies and hence i can hold the throttle to the stop in first gear.

Hey what's the go with this brick thing. All due respects to Peter Brock but does a Brock Brick have RIP on one side and Holden on the other (Or it's a brick that has been put through the window of a Commodore in Mac Fields)
Lol2Lol2

So how does a Boral brick go???? Are red ones better than brown ones???? Clay better than concrete???

Although this is coming from the guy who gets an 8 sec 60' time! Regularly! I reckon I could get an 8 sec 60ft time with Quicksilver too so bring it on LeonardLol3Lol3Lol3

Do you all ride on the road anymore?????Icon_rolleyes

Its a brock davidson (usa) part about the size of a house brick that is solid steel which mounts in front of the headers in the chin area of the lower fairing.I,m not trying to sell it i,m just trying to utilise its potential. They are expensive with freight and wouldn,t expect people would pay what they cost.I bought it because it helped me go faster sooner. As i,m stuck in mod bike and can,t compete in street bike i,m leaving it in place and looking to go faster again.9.5 has a nice ring to it.Coolsmiley

Opps thats where I have gone wrong, I stuck a house Brick in behind my Full Titanium TiForce Exhaust
That I got from Easy Rider Imports
& for those who don't know Glen has offered he's brick to me for a test run if I want to try it & at the moment I have his VR2 on my bike for hopefully some turning tomorrow if the rain pisses off Pi_thumbsup

So your overall bike weight is the same, means it's the same as your bike the week before. It sounds like you're implying your bike weight is the same as a stock Busa... Confused

So, just to confuse me further, you guys go get a titanium exhaust and tell me my headers are made of steel and too heavy, then you chuck a steel brick in front of the headers!

Wouldn't it make sense to just take off my cans and end up with the same formula (weight in the front and not in the back)?

Anyone help me here Confused

Titanium less weight for road & track..... More power
Some people not all people try & do put a weight very low down at the front to hold the front of the bike to stop monos, so you can get your 60 foot time down & your time will drop at the other end of the track, yes you can leave your old headers on but you still will have weight in the mid sections as well, in 1/4 mile racing if you can drop weight you will go faster, its a balance of weight & power

Not trying to imply my bikes stock weight at all.stock with full tank was 253kg.Current spec with half tank 230kg.If the bikes as light as possible you then can slowly add weight where you choose.Ideally if the bike is as light and low as it can get with the gearing set for your power curve and 60 ft times, you,d be sweet.Unfortunately with my stacks it still got so much torque even with stock gearing it still lifts. So to answer your question pan sometimes heavier is faster otherwise all the 1000cc bikes would be doing 9.4,s.A stock front wheel made a noticeable improvement to the galespeed when at stock height in controlling wheelies. This is still an option with less fuel in the lowered trim so once again the bike weighs the same but has its weight further forward for harder and faster launches. Some of us enjoyed physics at school.....some of us were on the debating team.Apples with apples i suppose.with a 16tooth and lowered and a full tank and NO MIRRORSCoolsmiley you should see a nine pan.Maybe then you,ll leave me alone.Just don,t expect to catch simmo and me.Coffee2Now best of luck to simmo tommorrow i,d love to see my record tumble,I enjoy the hunt more than the catch.Lol3
