What OS you using DJ

sounds like a file shairing problem.

If vista open network window & select the network & sharing tab & make sure network discovery etc. is on

Also if you double click in the Address Bar (where it says netwok) & type \\your computer name that you are trying to talk to. ie if you had a computer named fred on your network then type \\fred

I had trouble with vista x64 talking to Windows XPoo machines & had to go into to the XP file & printer sharing and tell it to be vbisable to other computers on network.

Has the computer changed your workgroup name?

Let me know what OS systems on both/all computers ya using & I will try & track down the info I found on the web when I had same problem as it was 18 months ago & I have had too many sleeps since then Very Happy

well its a modem problem but not hardware.
I just replaced the Linksys ag300 and exactly same thing.
The prob I have is this.
I can only connect to internet in bridged mode.

I think if I fix this issue it will solve my other probs maybe.
This was my first prob that came fron nowhere.

xp on all systems

Not sure about the bridge but I know when I went to Vista I could not see a Xp computer on the network & ended up turning on simple file sharing on the XPoo computer (I needed the XP computer for printer access) & everything just worked. Have a read HERE it may not be your problem but worth the read for justin Nerd
