$5 hump mod
#1
I've seen a few others do this so . . .
I modded my hump today so I can store my light spray jacket and pants inside.

Bought a small hinge and catch from the local hardware store. Cost about $5.
Add 1/2 hour cut out a flap.(hopefully you can cut straighter than I did) bolt it together with some spring washers and loctite, and it's done.

before

after . . .

a bit of spare storage space.

It's spring loaded . . . so it seems secure. (for now)
But you may be right, time will tell. If it fails I will need to look at some other catch arrangement.

Looks good Wardy.
Use a titanium spring. Less weight = more acceleration! :-)
