Had them on nearly every bike I have owned as well as mates bikes always an excellent fit and good looking product. Highly recommend. Can be fitted with fairings on easy enough on the gen 2.

What your mate is referring to is the inner liner of the brake lines breaks down and essentially acts like a one way valve letting fluid to the caliper but not letting it return or letting some return...
